The Annual Parade of Lights is a cross town extravaganza, complete with floats decorated and lit up in the Christmas spirit. This event typically occurs on the first weekend of December. There’s a grandstand, judges, and fun filled events sprinkled through town in support of the parade. Looking to warm up for the main event? Typically, the night before is the Minden Park gazebo lighting. The DHS Jazz Band performs. There are fire pits with S’mores for those who bring a food donation. All the standards will be there, a beautiful blue spruce, plenty of lights, cookies, carolers, and hot cocoa.
