A Glow Lifted Into the Beams
Robyn & Todd
Take an already stunning alpine venue and make it feel alive. The Timbers at Old Greenwood—where the pines stand tall around the golf course and the mountains frame every window—we set out to create a lighting story that felt both elevated and effortless, a soft breath of atmosphere woven through timber, fabric, and glow.
Our couple wanted warmth without heaviness, elegance without formality. The existing chandeliers in the timber hall were beautiful, but they needed a companion—something that would draw the eye upward and make the ceiling feel like part of the celebration rather than simply the structure above it.
We answered with drapery suspended across the beams, paired with colored uplights and market lighting that wrapped the room in a soft, cinematic glow. The goal was to accentuate the chandeliers, not compete with them—letting their metalwork and warm bulbs become the centerpiece of a larger lighting composition.
Lighting isn’t just illumination; it’s atmosphere, emotion, and memory. At Sierra Lighting, we love projects like this because they let us blend technical precision with artistic storytelling. The Timbers at Old Greenwood’s natural beauty deserved a design that honored it—and this one felt like a quiet conversation between architecture and ambiance.
