Rainbow Ice

This past weekend, Northstar Resort transformed into a vibrant celebration of love and inclusivity, and Sierra Lighting was thrilled to be a part of it! We had the incredible opportunity to design and install a breathtaking lighting display for their Pride event, turning the iconic ice rink into a mesmerizing rainbow spectacle.

Imagine this: a crisp mountain night, the smooth expanse of the ice rink, and a cascade of vibrant colors washing over it all. We achieved this magical effect using 28 carefully positioned lights, meticulously programmed to create a seamless rainbow. As skaters glided across the ice, their silhouettes danced and intertwined with the colorful projections, creating a dynamic and captivating visual experience.

The scene was truly something special. The rhythmic pulse of the DJ's music filled the air, perfectly complementing the ever-changing hues of the ice. The combination of sound and light created an immersive atmosphere, inviting everyone to join in the celebration.

Seeing families, couples, and friends laughing and skating through our rainbow was incredibly rewarding. The way the shadows interacted with the light, creating unique and ephemeral shapes, added another layer of artistry to the event. It was a beautiful testament to the power of light to transform a space and evoke emotion.
